Long term success in athletics requires participation in a quality Strength & Conditioning Program. Too many talented athletes fail to reach their potential because they are never exposed to quality instruction in the weightroom or on the track.
Sport coaches (football, volleyball, etc) may be experts in their chosen sport but not necessarily expert on how to coach a kid in the weightroom. Additionally, programs that group large numbers of kids together suffer in their quality of training and a lack of progress or injury is often the result.

Kingwood Strength & Conditioning is the local leader in providing effective programming for sport performance. We offer individualized custom strength & conditioning programs for athletes of all sports and age groups. Our staff has experience working with everyone from Middle School to Division I college athletes. Our programs use a wide variety of strength & conditioning tools to make you or your athlete stronger, faster, and more explosive. Every athlete will work one on one with a degreed and certified trainer to ensure their specific needs are being addressed. We have programs for two, three, and four days per week.
Our Philosophy
Kingwood Strength & Conditioning takes a “strength first” approach to its training programs. Most athletes that come into our facility are in need of getting stronger. By increasing one’s capacity in a few basic exercises athletes will not only become stronger, but faster, and more explosive as well.
All athletic qualities (speed, power, agility, balance, coordination, etc) are dependent on first establishing a base of strength.
Since joining the gym, Jordan has gained 22 lbs of solid muscle, and is shown here deadlifting an easy 350 lbs!!
Getting stronger also makes an athlete more resistant to injury. Along with stronger muscles, ligaments, tendons, and bones also adapt to resistance training by becoming thicker, stronger, and more resistant to tears and strains.
We strive to teach every athlete to become competent in the basic barbell lifts including the squat, bench press, deadlift, military press, chin up, etc. As athletes progress through our system we begin to incorporate more Olympic lifting based on the Clean & Jerk and Snatch. As athletes advance they will move to more specific conditioning programs based on the unique needs of their sport.
